It’s that time of year again. Crisp leaves, dark nail polish, at least one viewing of Practical Magic (I’m listening to the soundtrack right now). Who do you identify with the most? Tell me in the comments. I’m a Sally with Aunt Jet rising. Ok, so while you're watching you will need a beverage, and what is more appropriate than a seasonal margarita? We’ll skip the tequila though because it's haunted, am I right? The Mezcal gives this a smoky taste, feel fre Smoky Cider Margarita
2oz. Mezcal 4 oz. apple cider .5oz. lemon juice Combine ingredients in a glass with ice and enjoy! This can easily be made as a batch just use 1 cup of mezcal to 2 cups of cider and 1/4 cups of lemon juice.

I love Halloween, it’s probably my favorite holiday. While I love that having kids gives me an excuse to go all out on the costumes it does make throwing the Halloween party of my dreams a bit tricky. So instead I made a Halloween cocktail… it’s almost as good. While I shot this as a cocktail I think it actually works better as a shooter, just half the recipe given. If you have a large syringe or dropper you can “inject” the Creme de Cassis into the bottom of the shot glass creating an even more distinct layer. Love At First Bite
**half this recipe to make shooters!** 1oz. Chareau Aloe Liqueur 1/2oz. Gin 1/4oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur 1/4oz. lemon juice 1/2oz. Creme de Cassis Pour Creme de Cassis into the bottom of a Liqueur glass. Combine remaining ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake until chilled and slightly diluted. Pour on top of the Creme de Cassis. Enjoy! I try to submit something for the @homebarawards monthly cocktail contest, I don't win but I try. This month the challenge was to update everyones favorite classic, the Grasshopper… The only real requirement were that the drink remain green, but I also wanted to try to maintain the simplicity of the original as well as the creamy mouth feel. I’ve been itching to use my Chareau Aloe Liqueur and I thought it went thematically with a Grasshoppers environment so I went with Herbal/plant/grass flavors. Hopefully this is a more mature flavor profile update on a classic, though I’m not sure that it works. Try this at your own risk, I drank it. Grasshopper’s Garden 1oz. Chareau Aloe Liqueur 1oz. Green Chartreuse 1/2oz. strong matcha tea 1/2oz. almond milk Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice until chilled and slightly diluted. Pour into a martini glass and enjoy. Cheers!
