I know 'finished' is a relative term as far as decorating your home, but I finally have one room in my house that feels it (for now), and I’m so excited to share it with you! Trying to balance feminine and masculine elements in a baby girls room is a challenge to say the least, but I’m happy with how this has turned out. I tried to keep the lines strong and the patterns geometric to counter the amount of pink that ended up happening. I wanted the more expensive decor pieces, like the mirror and the large print over the crib, to be more mature so that they can grow with the baby. I added some whimsy with the flamingo plate and the duck lamp. The carpet was a last minute addition because the white carpet I had in there originally just felt too boring. This was really fun to put together and I’m sure I’ll be adding and changing it as Charlie grows up. Taking interior photos is a new skill that I’m working on. While I understand the basic rules of interior photography I haven't attempted it before. That being said this is the second attempt at photographing this room and I’m pretty happy with the out come. There is definitely a learning curve for me in figuring out the angles, and though these pictures are way (waaaaay) better then my first try, I’m still working some kinks out.
I haven’t sourced anything, but if you have any questions about where something came from please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. Hope you like it!
