Some of my cocktails are carefully constructed and tested, and some are fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants last minute concoctions. Mostly they work out, I’ve consumed them all at least, until this one… This started out as a Peanut butter and Jelly old fashioned, which was so bad I couldn't drink it and why two fridays ago had no new recipe. This is the final iteration, I had to cut the peanut butter out (I hate peanut butter and I’m not sure why I thought making a drink with it would be a good idea), its not bad? Thats were I’m at one this one. If you have any ideas on how to make this better please let me know. Liquid Lunch
2oz. Whiskey 1/2oz. Cointreau 2-3 drops Orange bitters 1oz. grape jelly syrup (1:1:1 sugar, boiling water, grape jelly) 1/2oz. Raspberry Eau De Vie Shake whiskey, cointreau, and bitters with ice until chilled and slightly diluted. Pour into rocks glass. Fill rocks glass with crushed ice. Combine grape jelly syrup and eau de vie and pour over ice. Enjoy?
