Happy New Year, and may 2018 rot in hell. I'm going to be brutally honest with you right now, I don't do resolutions… or diets. Unfortunately new year does not equal new me, at this point I've gotten pretty comfy with all of my shifty behaviours. For example, as soon as I make that iron-clad, cast-in-stone resolution I’m doing my best to sabotage it, loop-hole it or down right ignore it, it’s really where I shine. As it turns out I hate being beholden to anyone, my self included. I'm not sure who to blame at this point, but I'm trying to make the best of a bad situation (personality?). Which brings me to my point, let's talk about intentions. I’m sure you're aware that this is the year of the intention anyway, resolutions not being millennially enough. There's something slightly 'new age-y' about the concept, but as much as I’d like to I cant really argue with having intentions. Intentions offer freedom from failure and the strict time limit of a resolution, failure and time constraints being things I definitely struggle with. Plus, if you get off track you just renew your intention and that's a win right there! So let me jump on the bandwagon, here are some of my intentions;
Intentions are meant to be revisited and modified often, not just once a year. So over the next couple of months I’m going to do a post on each of these intentions, what they mean to me and the actions i’m taking to move forward. I would love to hear what some of your life long intentions are or your resolutions for the new year (no judgment). Leave me a comment!
